Command
Master Chief Jeffrey R. Clark Sr. was born in Washington, D.C. and
graduated high school in 1982. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy
through the Delayed Entry Program in 1982.
He completed recruit and
apprenticeship training at Great Lakes, Illinois. His first duty
station was with Fleet Air Logistics Support Squadron FORTY (VRC 40),
Norfolk, Virginia.
Other shore duty assignments have
included: Naval Air Test and Evaluation Squadron One (VX 1), Patuxent
River, Maryland; Naval Aviation Depot Operations Center Detachment,
Naples, Italy; and Naval Aviation Pacific Repair Activity, Atsugi,
Japan.
Various sea duty assignments have included two tours with Patrol
Squadron FIVE SIX (VP 56), Jacksonville, Florida; Fleet Air
Reconnaissance Squadron Six (VQ 6),

Cecil Field, Florida; USS
INDEPENDENCE (CV 62) and USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63) both located in Yokosuka, Japan.
He served as the Command Master Chief
onboard USS REUBEN JAMES (FFG 57), USS CHUNG HOON (DDG 93) both
located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; and NSA Souda Bay, Crete, Greece.
In February 2008, he assumed duties as the Command Master Chief on board USS GEORGE WASHINGTON.
He has an Associate Degree in
Administration and Management Studies, a graduate of the Senior Enlisted
Academy, receiving the Commissioned Officers’ Association, Peter Tomich
Distinguished Graduate Award and attended
the US Navy Corporate Business Course for Senior Leaders.
Master
Chief Clark's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal,
Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (seven awards), Navy and Marine
Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), Good Conduct Medal (five awards),
and numerous others campaign and unit awards. |
